If you are in the e-Commerce Industry, I’m sure that you already know about Magento. A lot of retailers in the e-Commerce industry are big fans of Magento and versatility of this open source platform. Magento developers recently released a new version with some exciting new features and big changes.
Here, we are talking about these new features of Magento and some more detail around the improvements they have made.
Magento Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) improves security by requiring two-step authentication to access the Magento Admin UI from all devices. We all know that customer service is at the heart of every e-Commerce store, but some platforms are having a hard time giving the best customer service. Magento 2.4.0 gives the administrators full power when it comes to your customers. It is now possible to troubleshoot any buying problem that you’ll encounter in your storefront as you can now get full access to a customer's account, with the exception of card details. You can save your customers time by placing their orders and creating quotes.
The Multi-Source Inventory, (formerly the Inventory Management), allows you to select different pick up locations that your customers can select from. They can now choose the closest location and details where they can pick up the products they bought.
The feature can be adjusted to the needs of a curbside pickup method due to its flexible configurations and notifications.
Purchase Approval Workflow enables B2B buying companies to customize their approval processes through a simple form. Creating numerous rules to have more flexibility and assign them to multiple people who have definite roles and to approve is now possible. For example, you can have a rule that says customers who are junior buyers cannot exceed an amount of $10k purchase & require approval from a manager to continue the transaction.
Due to these changes, approving and reviewing customer orders has been simplified.
Both Commerce and Open Source let you streamline a completely rebuilt Media Gallery that delivers considerable benefits with its integration with Adobe Stock. The key features of the improvement include:
